Multi-Broker, Multi-Property Auction is a marketing platform for regionally organized partnerships of real-estate brokerages and auctioneers. It’s designed to facilitate the successful auction of residential, commercial and ag properties in one place at one time.
MBMP Auction gives participating brokerages and investors more resource and more buyers. We replace the traditional, single-brokerage, low-attendance auction event and eliminate the hassle and expense. Everyone wins with MBMP Auction: broker, agent, buyer, seller.
- Participating brokerages are co-branded with MBMP Auction
- Participating brokers/agents get 3 % commission + control all the way to the close. This is a powerful combination not available with other auction firms
- MBMP Auction events expose buyers and sellers to a wide spectrum of property during one evening in one convenient setting
- Sellers benefit from stronger presence, more viewings and showings and the possibility of increased market value
Turnkey, Plug-and-Play Platform for Brokers
- Branded in-house auction division without the startup cost
- High-level promotion at MBMPauction.com and before, during and after an auction event
- Respect for individual broker customization and handling
- Broker gets board credit for the sale
- Event planning and details are managed for broker partners
I just happened to have save-the-date cards with me at the 2018 Wichita Home Show for the first MBMP Auction. I couldn’t believe the interest and the questions they generated. We knew this would disturb the real-estate marketplace over time. I can’t believe how fast this is gaining traction.
Fun! The energy generated by the bid catchers from the participating brokerages was contagious. One talented auctioneer has the power to change the course of an auction. Put six of them in the audience as bid spotters and you’ve got a high-voltage event.

A lifetime resident of Wichita, Kansas, Mike King is a full-time real estate agent and auctioneer. He’s been a multi-million dollar producer every year since 2005, when he began his career in real estate. He graduated from Missouri Auction School, which has a long-standing history of producing some of the top auctioneers in the Midwest.
“As Steve Wilbur and I were developing our own auction brokerage and working through the advantages we could offer, we had one type of auction for which we were not able to be competitive. Wichita has some of the most talented auctioneers and real-estate brokerages in the Midwest. I reached out to six other auctioneers and real-estate brokerages to discuss working together to hold a multi-broker, multi-property auction.
“Everyone thought it was a great idea and we started to talk through what it would look like, how it would be run, and how to market the event. Within a few short weeks Steve and I knew we were on to something that would radically disrupt the marketplace.”
